Surprise Valley Garden Early Summer

📍 Location: East Boise, ID
🛠 Managed by: Sow & Grow Boise (501(c)(3) nonprofit)

🌱 About Our Garden:
Located in East Boise, Surprise Valley Garden is managed by Sow & Grow Boise, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The one-acre garden overlooks a beautiful vista of the Boise foothills and offers over 90 plots for community gardening.

Plot membership is open to anyone! Our members grow whatever they choose on their personal plots and also help tend the annual vegetables grown in community plots, as well as the perennial plantings and general garden areas.

Produce grown in the community plots is shared with our greater community through donations to local food banks.

Our garden members also tend and harvest from our perennial plants, including:
🍓 Raspberries, blueberries, elderberries
🍏 Pears & apples
🌿 Asparagus, lavender, comfrey, mint, and sage
🌱 Rhubarb

🙌 Volunteering Opportunities:
Additional volunteers are much appreciated in our final month of the gardening season – the 2nd weekend of October.

Volunteers can help with:
Harvesting and delivering produce to the food bank
Putting our growing beds to bed for the winter

In partnership with Eastwind Community Church.
